Wine Spectator, the prestigious lifestyle magazine focuses on wine and wine culture, just appointed a score of 89 points to Finca el Origen Gran Reserva Malbec 2009 in its most recent issue (August 31st, 2011).

James Molesworth praised the wine and said:

“A ripe, muscular style, sporting graphite and licorice flavors to frame the core of damson plum, linzer torte and cassis. The long, rich finish stays nicely focused and detailed.”

Just behind it, Finca el Origen Malbec Rosé achieved 85 points.

Regarding this wine, James Molesworth said:

“Lively cherry and juicy cranberry fruit stays ebullient through the fresh finish.”

Grapes of these recognized wines are from La Esperanza Vineyard, located in Uco Valley, Mendoza, at the foothills of the Andes Range, at 1,200 meters above sea level.
