with the distinction of “Editor’s Choice”

It is clear that Finca el Origen Phi, even before landing on the market, has already collected amazing scores in Wine Enthusiast, The Tasting Panel Magazine and Peñín Guide.  We are confident that this is only the beginning of a string of excellent results for the first vintage of this wine (vintage 2009).  Apart from these great distinctions, PHI was presented in 2013 in Prowein, Expo Vinis and within a few days at Vinexpo! There we go! Von Voyage!

AWA is considered the most important wine competition in Argentina, organized by Wines of Argentina and COVIAR, which took place February 18 to 22 in the city of Mendoza. We are delighted by the exclusive international panel presented every year. In this edition, the experts taking part of the panel were the following ones:

We had the opportunity to host the 12 international judges at our vineyard in Vista Flores (Uco Valley) on Monday, February 25^th.  It was nice to receive their encouraging comments the same day we were starting 2013 harvest!

Our wine received the only Regional Trophy for Argentina for the distinction of our FINCA EL ORIGEN GRAN RESERVA MALBEC 2010 in the category Best Value Single Red Vineyard in the DECANTER ASIA WINE AWARDS contest.  All the winners of this trophy continued to the final stage of this competition, where wine experts tasted from the top of each category to find the best representative who would receive the coveted:  International Trophy….

After several months preparing ourselves for this big challenge, we got our first quality certificate in good manufacturing practices, conducted by Bureau Veritas. Yanina Romeo, Head of Quality Department, said:

This is or first step towards total quality and we are preparing to move forward with the certification of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

This first certificate for Finca el Origen is very important for the company; it means that we are working with good manufacturing practices, food safety and proper quality control processes in: hygiene, processing, bottling and marketing of our wines.
