In the microsite www.winesur.com, as well as on Facebook and Twitter, consumers from all over the world could read these anecdotes and vote their favorites. Votes amounted to over 1,500, what shows the virality reached by this 2.0 contest.

Our Anecdote "Glasses in the Tank" wrote by our winemaker "Matias Ciciani" received special mention from the contest’s organizers.

Glasses in the tank
This story is based on the experience of our winemaker, Matias, in a major Spanish winery. “In this winery, presses were drained into 1,000 liters casks. During the harvest of the white wines, we were tasting the must, when the owner of the winery dropped his glasses in the casks. He decided to take off his clothes and jump into the cask to look for his glasses, and due to our close relationship, he said to me “come on in, Matias!” So I had no option but to get into the cask, too (dressed of course!) and dive! I consider this as one of the funniest experiences in my time in Spain. Seeing the owner of a winery, in his underwear, diving in cask to recover his glasses is an image I will never forget.”

On the other hand, the winner of "My Wine Story II" was the anecdote "The Land" of Bodegas Lanzarini and the anecdote “Patagonian style rack of ribs” of Bodegas del Fin del Mundo received another special mention.

You can see the rest of the anecdotes in Wine Sur.
