Spring is coming to the Northern Hemisphere and Finca el Origen is inviting you to start this beautiful season with a fresh new drink that is easy to prepare. The Torrontes Mojito was a huge hit during the 2012 summer in Argentina. Go ahead and try it!
2012 has been a great year of great wines, much news as the launching of the partner of our FINCA EL ORIGEN GRAN RESERVA MALBEC wine (an exquisite CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2009 of an unrivaled quality) and a lot of accolades and awards for our wines, among them:
Finca el Origen Gran Reserva Malbec
The incredible quality of 2012 Finca el Origen white wines has been enhanced by increasing the use of native yeasts, malolactic fermentation and the utilization of the fine lees of fermentation.
The weather conditions this year in both Uco Valley – Mendoza and in Cafayate – Salta, were excellent for the production of white wines. The low natural yield of this vintage created a high amount of concentration. A slow maturation and optimal time of harvest allowed the fruit to ripen fully and evenly. Consequently, these whites wines have an even balance on the palate, good acidity and a very expressive nose that is unique to each varietal.
During the months of August and September while our wines were resting in the cellars, Gonzalo Bertelsen – General Manager and head enologist, visited three of our major markets with the aim of expanding our FINCA EL ORIGEN wine experience with journalists, clients and customers from around the world. Following is a summary of the fascinating results of these visits.
