The incredible quality of 2012 Finca el Origen white wines has been enhanced by increasing the use of native yeasts, malolactic fermentation and the utilization of the fine lees of fermentation.

The weather conditions this year in both Uco Valley – Mendoza and in Cafayate – Salta, were excellent for the production of white wines.  The low natural yield of this vintage created a high amount of concentration.  A slow maturation and optimal time of harvest allowed the fruit to ripen fully and evenly.  Consequently, these whites wines have an even balance on the palate, good acidity and a very expressive nose that is unique to each varietal.

During the months of August and September while our wines were resting in the cellars, Gonzalo Bertelsen – General Manager and head enologist, visited three of our major markets with the aim of expanding our FINCA EL ORIGEN wine experience with journalists, clients and customers from around the world.  Following is a summary of the fascinating results of these visits.
